(I wonder where they got that …). Our boys ran track in high school, and one time one of them had wanted to do the 800 meter run (about a half mile); he really thought he could do well in that. But the afternoon of the race, the coach told him, no, he was going to put him in the 2-mile run. He did NOT want to run that race. So that afternoon Cheryl & I were up in the stands to cheer him on, but I see him out there just basically JOGGING that 2 miles. I could tell he wasn’t even trying. I was SO mad. I hollered at him, “Run! What are you doing?” A lady in the stands in front of me turned around and said, “It’s ok, Dad, at least he’s out there trying!” I said “NO. HE’S NOT!
